Notification on the Confirmation of Hospital Accreditation Levels for Hainan General Hospital and Other Seven Tertiary Hospitals

The health commissions of all cities, counties, and autonomous counties; Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration; all affiliated hospitals of Hainan Medical University, all medical institutions under the commission; Statistical Information Center of the Commission; and Medical Management Service Guidance Center of the Commission:

In accordance with the Regulations on the Administration of Medical Institutions and the Methods for Hospital Evaluation in Hainan Province, the provincial leadership group for hospital evaluation has carried out the accreditation reviews for Hainan General Hospital and seven other tertiary hospitals. Upon deliberations of the commission, the following decisions have been made:

1. Hainan General Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University, Hainan Cancer Hospital, Haikou People's Hospital, and Sanya Central Hospital are confirmed as Grade A Tertiary Hospitals. They are hereby granted the title of Grade A Tertiary Hospital which is valid from February 2023 to February 2027. The date for the inauguration ceremony will be notified in the future.

2. Though Sanya People's Hospital has theoretically passed the review, the title will not be granted until the monitoring period lasting from February 2023 to February 2024 expires. After the expiration, a review will be organized by the office of the provincial leadership group for hospital evaluation. If the review is not passed, a re-application will be required.

3. People's Hospital of Wanning has not passed the review and will be classified as a hospital without a confirmed grade. The hospital can apply for the next round of accreditation review.
