On May 26, 2026, Director Li Wenxiu of the Hainan Provincial Health Commission met in Haikou with Mr. Halil Senpinar, Board Member and General Manager of the Medico & Vital Center for Sports Rehabilitation Medicine in Baden-Baden, Germany, who was invited to Hainan to participate in the “Hainan Visit by International Life and Health Enterprises” event.

Director Li Wenxiu welcomed Mr. Halil Senpinar’s visit and briefly introduced the development of Hainan’s biopharmaceutical and health-and-wellness industries. She noted that Hainan has a strong foundation in ecological resources and infrastructure for the development of the wellness industry. However, compared with international standards in sports rehabilitation and hot spring wellness, there is still a gap in management experience and standardized practices. She expressed hope that the Medico & Vital Center would bring its “hot spring wellness + sports rehabilitation” brand model to Hainan and establish a branch center there, and cooperate pragmatically with institutions such as Yingya International Medical Center and Hainan Xikang Yun She. She also expressed hope that relevant projects could be implemented in Hainan and the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone as soon as possible.

Mr. Halil Senpinar stated that he was deeply impressed by the rapid development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. He said that Boao Lecheng represents the future of medical innovation, and that Hainan possesses excellent ecological and hot spring resources. He expressed willingness to facilitate cooperation between the state of Baden-Württemberg and Hainan, and to introduce organizations such as the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), the German Association for Physiotherapy (ZVK), and the Academy for Balneology and Climatology to jointly develop the hot spring wellness and sports rehabilitation industries in Hainan. He also stated that he would promptly promote internal discussions within the center’s management regarding cooperation agreements with Yingya International Medical Center and accelerate project implementation.

After the meeting, Director Li Wenxiu accompanied Mr. Halil Senpinar to attend a meeting between Hainan Provincial Party Secretary Feng Fei, Governor Liu Xiaoming, and global leaders in the life and health industry. Mr. Senpinar also shared practical experience and expressed cooperation intentions at the “Hainan Visit by International Life and Health Enterprises” cooperation exchange conference, focusing on sports rehabilitation.

On May 25, Mr. Senpinar conducted an on-site visit to the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, where he toured Yingya International Medical Center, including clinical departments and specialized service areas. He particularly visited the sports medicine specialty center, experienced its traditional Chinese medical therapies, and gained detailed insight into its specialized medical devices, advanced equipment, and clinical applications. He highly praised Yingya’s professional clinical environment, service model, and technological expertise in the field of sports rehabilitation.

Mr. Senpinar and Yingya Bio-Technology Group President Ling Kaijun formally signed a strategic cooperation memorandum. The two sides will focus on three core areas: sports rehabilitation, integrated Chinese-Western rehabilitation medicine, and international high-end wellness services. They aim to integrate Germany’s advanced sports medicine, physiotherapy systems, and biomechanical assessment technologies with Hainan’s unique wellness resources to jointly build a new cross-border health service model of “German Assessment + Hainan Healing.”

The Medico & Vital Center (MVZ), founded in 1999 and officially restructured and expanded in 2008, specializes in the full-cycle treatment of the musculoskeletal system.
